We are very proud of The Kernow Sausage Company this month, as our sausage division has been singled out as a finalist in the ‘Best Food Product of the Year’ category in the Cornwall Life Food & Drink Awards.
The Kernow Sausage Company is where it all started for our Director Gavin Roberts, who in 2007 identified a niche in the market for truly tasty sausages using the best ingredients and produced to tried and tested family recipes.
From the signature ‘Trelawny Traditional’, to the innovative ‘Slim and Proper’, The Kernow Sausage Company has created a range of well-loved bangers bursting with flavour, and also offers a selection of mouth-watering pork cuts and delicious bacon.
The Cornwall Life Food & Drink Awards recognise outstanding local food producers, chefs, restaurants and retailers. Competition is tough, with the local food and drink scene on buoyant form.
Just three producers have made it through to the final round in the ‘Best Product’ category, with the judges on the look-out for consistent quality, genuine local provenance, and a great story told through branding and marketing.
The winners of the awards will be announced during a very special ceremony at The Atlantic Hotel on 26th November. Two Brothers Foods will also be keen to hear the outcome of the ‘Best Chef’ category, as we are sponsoring that particular award.
